News TCE Founders Day on 29th July 24 🌟 *Celebrating Founder's Day at TCE*! 🎉 We're happy to share highlights from the Founder's Day celebration at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai on 29-07-2024! Chief Guest Insights:Prof. Balaraman Ravindran, Head of Data Science & AI at IIT-Madras, delivered the Rukmini Shanmugam Endowment Lecture on 'Taking AI Forward,' discussing AI's potential and the importance of managing our expectations. *Mr. Soma Velayutham,* General Manager of NVIDIA, proposed making TCE the center for AI-general AI, with a focus on developing AI in Tamil. He emphasized the importance of integrating Tamil and AI, offering seed money of ₹10 lakhs to support this initiative. He also inaugurated the Tamil AI Centre initiative, envisioning a future where AI and Tamil heritage go hand in hand. 💰 *Distribution of Student Scholarships:* Scholarships worth ₹87 lakhs were awarded to 227 deserving students, supported by our robust alumni charitable fund. The fund corpus has grown to ₹7 crores, playing a crucial role in helping deserving students.
